Information in 23 languages: violence against women and trafficking

What is male violence against women? What can we do in Italy in case of violence? What happens when police and carabinieri intervene? And what is human trafficking and sexual exploitation? For those who do not know Italian well, Il Grande Colibrì and Trama di Terre have created a small guide in simplified Italian and in several other languages.

Il Grande Colibrì is a voluntary association active on the rights and political representation of LGBTQIA people belonging to ethnic, cultural and religious minorities. Our goal is to overcome all forms of discrimination and prejudice (homotransphobia, misogyny, racism, Islamophobia, and more). The association (composed of people of all identities, orientations, and geographical origins) offers support, assistance, and guidance to migrants or asylum seekers who are persecuted in their homeland due to their gender identity or sexual orientation. Through our websites and conferences we aim to increase knowledge and awareness on topics relating to minorities within the LGBTQIA community.

Trama di Terre is a women-only intercultural association active in Imola since 1997. The group aims to promote the full implementation of citizenship rights in favor of women, to help native migrants, to prevent and counteract gender violence in all its forms, to build a culture focused on overcoming manifolds of gender discrimination, to support women’s rights and the cultural intersections. The relationship between women, feminists, and activists from different parts of the world has always been the foundation of our work and political project to foster knowledge and to carry on an intercultural gender approach. The association manages hospitality structures for migrant women, asylum seekers, refugees, and women who have survived gender violence and family abuse.
